Mary Gilpin with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) speaks to students in Debbie Shaffer's history class about filling out cards to send to veterans at the Bob Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita. Gilpin was there to also speak to students about the US Constitution.

Parsons Middle School Girls Basketball is holding Open Gym Monday (10/9) and Tuesday (10/10) until 4:30 p.m. We will begin mandatory practice on Wednesday the 11th and hold a parents meeting after practice on Tuesday the 17th (5:45p.m.). FYI: Tomorrow, October 4th, FEMA and the FCC are planning a Nationwide Emergency Alert Test at approximately 1:20 p.m. CST. This test alert will be sent to all consumer cell phones, all radios and televisions and will last approximately one minute.
