PHS art students in Ms. Vincent's class made plaster casts of their hands Friday. This week students will use the casts to create art by altering the hand to turn it into something else or do something that places the hand in a different environment.

The annual Parsons High School "Apply Kansas" event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th. Apply Kansas is a statewide campaign in which high schools host an event to help seniors apply to college. The purpose of Apply Kansas is to increase the number of students applying, enrolling, and succeeding in college or other post-secondary endeavors.

To gear up for Apply Kansas, the PHS faculty and staff took part in the "Why Apply?" Day September 19th by sharing why they think students should apply for continuing education opportunities. Join us in sharing in the comments why YOU think students should obtain career training beyond a high school diploma.
