Parsons High School Sophomore Brodric Wright checks his progress as he installs parts on his team's small robot for Bruce Rea's class. Once all the teams' robots are completed, a competition is planned.


PHS Assistant Principal Tyler Thompson tested out the cardboard chairs designed and made by students in Kelsey Fabrycky's art class. The chairs were supposed to hold the full weight of an adult. This year students rocked it, as only one chair failed the challenge.








4A Sub-State Basketball:
Lady Vikes travel to Eudora on Tuesday, Feb 27, 6:00 tipoff.
Vikings travel to Eudora on Wednesday, Feb 28, 6:00 tipoff.
The girls Semi-Final game would be on Friday, March 1, and boys Semi-Final Saturday, March 2.

PHS students attended the Neosho County CC Sophomore Experience Event this week at the Mitchell Technology Center. They learned about career technical programs such as plumbing, aerospace structures, and auto technician! They got to see a PHS alum, Chase Sanborn, in action.



Forensics @Ft Scott today. Brelin Summers/McKia Lawrence 4th & Payton Corbett/Xavier Cervantes 3rd IDA. Gyzelle Palmer 2nd Poetry/6th impromptu, Adian Marshall 3rd DI. Shea Clark 1st in POI and 1st in DI and 1st in HI. Overall the team was second.

KOAM's Anthony Saviello visited with drafting teacher Bruce Rea today about the electric 3/4 scale Humvee students built over 16 semesters, that is being donated to Pathways to Freedom to help raise funds to build the veterans memorial in Parsons. Catch the story tonight.
