The Technology Student Association (TSA) is selling luminaries for $5 to honor survivors, those battling cancer, and to remember loved ones.  The luminaries will decorate Forest Park on the night of Relay for Life - Sept. 9th.  We are taking donations through Sept. 8th.  We will have a 50/50 pot at the Parsons/LCHS football game on Sept. 8th and also be selling luminaries that night. The PHS horticulture class had a surprise visitor Monday, who gained momentary celebrity status as students whipped out their cell phones to grab pics. The praying mantis, who had been hiding among stems pruned from a rose bush, was then returned to a natural setting.

Students in the PHS horticulture class dissected a rose Monday and discussed all the functions of the various parts of the flower. Students then pressed the flower parts to let them dry, so they can use them for future reference.
