
Students in the PHS horticulture class dissected a rose Monday and discussed all the functions of the various parts of the flower. Students then pressed the flower parts to let them dry, so they can use them for future reference.

Due to extreme heat the Football Jamboree scheduled for tomorrow, Friday night, has been cancelled. The Vikings will be in action next week at Prairie View at 7:00 pm.

Parsons High School students enrolled in the new horticulture elective took time Wednesday to visit the Parsons Arboretum for a short scavenger hunt, in which they were trying to locate and identify plants according to the clues given by teacher Kelsey Fabrycky.











Due to the extreme heat and teams switching to morning practices, the Senior Sunrise scheduled for Wednesday August 23rd will be postponed until sometime in September.


Students in Spanish II-IV created hexagons with sentences in Spanish about themselves. They worked together to find connections and things in common with their classmates.

Students in Kerri Hall's Spanish class read two statements in Spanish displayed on a white board and move to one side of the room or the other based on which type of person they are. For example, do they eat their pizza crust or leave it.


Due to an HVAC issue, the USD 503 school board meeting will not be broadcast live this evening, it will be recorded and posted at a later date. The meeting is being moved to the PHS Community Room.
