There is no school this Friday!
Parsons School District had 6 students participate in the State Chess Tournament this past weekend. Due to covid, we have played chess all season on the computers through chess.com . In the K-12 Division, Parsons High School student Davis Clark was the 33rd place medalist and Eli Koger earned the 43rd place medal . As a team they finished in 12th place. Great Job Vikes!

Students are working on a 1930s food menu project in Mrs. Quarton's class. The challenge is to feed a family of four for a week with only $5.
Earth and Space science learning about lightning, while Chemistry is studying electron repulsion using the Van De Graff generator today.
In an anything but normal year our Viking boys qualified for the state tournament. For our seniors it was their fourth straight trip to state. They never stopped fighting or playing hard. They fell short tonight but not for lack of effort. Love the Vikings.

Louisburg has allowed us 300 tickets for tomorrow night. 132 of them are for basketball and cheer. Students can pick up from the office 8:00-9:30. 9:30-3:30 the office will be open for the general public to get a wristband that will get you in the game. $9 kids under 5 free.
There have been several requests for information on the number of fans that can attend the Vikings first round of state basketball in Louisburg tomorrow at 6:00. KSHSAA is holding a meeting at 5:00 and after we will share that information with families, students, and fans.
