The KSHSAA has looked at multiple dates and possible sites to host the 4A State Music Festival. We believe we have found a site and date that will hopefully work for all participants. We are so grateful to those who sent us possible solutions, thank you!
Tabor College in Hillsboro has graciously accepted to host the 4A State Solo & Small Ensemble Festival on Wednesday, May 11, starting at 8:00 a.m., and should finish in most rooms by 4:00 p.m. Sheila Litke, Host Manager at Tabor College, hosted a wonderful Regional Solo & Small Ensemble Festival on April 9th, and they are ready to open their doors to our 4A schools!
We will be keeping the same schedule of entries, and the program will be updated with new performance rooms, maps, instructions, etc.
Moving an event of this magnitude in a short period of time demands patience and flexibility by everyone involved. The ultimate goal is to provide the opportunity for a positive experience for our wonderful 4A musicians.

This year, the Scholarship Committee decided to award a scholarship from
the PEF general fund to an individual who was viewed by the Committee as
an exceptional applicant in a variety of respects. The recipient of the 2022
PEF Outstanding Viking Scholarship is Olivia Jerred.

The Doug Phillips Memorial Scholarships went to Morgan Vaughn and Lauren Farris. Congrats!
