40 seniors traveled to Labette Community College today with Ms. Lucas for a Senior Day event. They got to tour campus, meet with advisors from their area of academic interest, eat lunch in the cafe, and learn more about how to be successful in college. Big thanks to LCC!

FYI: We had a quick exterior lockdown this morning because a teacher reporting hearing something. It turns out, it was just a science experiment with a loud popping noise. We wanted everyone to know that we take your student's safety seriously and it was a false alarm.

After reading the chapter Beast from Air from Lord of the Flies, Mrs.Moore's Honors English 10 created parachutes from a variety of materials. The goal is to have it travel the furthest when dropped from a height

Spanish students learned about Día de los Muertos this week and created collaborative posters of sugar skulls for a class competition.



Regional soccer schedule for today at PK has been postponed until 4:00 tomorrow. Too much water on the pitch. We tried to move some water to the sidelines, but water remains undefeated.
Regional soccer is now Wednesday, Oct. 26th at 4:00 at Parsons High School.

Carpentry 1 students are learning the basics of carpentry by building their own model houses. They had to draw their blueprints first in CAD, then begin framing from the bottom up. This leads into the larger projects, but teaches the proper layout and terminology.




Parsons High School will host Regional Soccer this Tuesday at 4:30 vs. Atchison-Maur Hill. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students. No passes accepted. Our students will have admission covered by the PHS Booster Club! Go Vikes!


PHS Parent-Teacher Conferences are TONIGHT and WEDNESDAY nights from 4:00-7:30 PM. Stop by the main office to get schedule and grades before visiting teachers in their rooms. Shared staff (Caswell, Womeldorff, Burke, Fabrycky, Workman) will be at the HS tonight and MS on Wed.
