PHS Forensics competed at Field Kindley in Coffeyville. McKia Lawrence finished 1st in DI and becomes the latest Viking to qualify for the State tournament. Andrea Chapman and Payton Corbett finished 2nd in IDA and Payton also finished 6th in Impromptu.

Viking Track went to Frontenac Thursday night and performed well! The Boys team placed first and the girls team had many first place finishes with great performances on both teams. Saylah Rea placed 1st place in triple jump, as well as Riley Dunlay in the discus and freshman, Makayla Farrow-Getman in the 400 meter dash. Makayla also finished third in the 200m dash. AJ Wyatt placed 4th in the 100. Trey Logan started the boys off with a 1st place finish Javelin. Demonta Kendrick also placed 1st in the shot put. In the jumps, Makai Baugh won triple jump with Jason Smart right behind in second. Makai and Nassir Hagood took 2nd and 3rd in the long jump. Brelin Summers placed 2nd in high jump. Brelin Summers won the 100HH and 300 Hurdles with Camron Day in second. Jason Smart took 1st today in both the 100 and 200 meter dash. Mario Zacarias placed 3rd in the 3200 in a close finish with teammate Colten Carson. Both boys 4x1 and 4x4 finished in first place, with the night ending in a spectacular 400 meter comeback finish from Camron Day! Good week for the Vikings!
