Last week's "Beat the Teacher" art theme was Vampires. These two pictures were tied for a time , but the charcoal portrait of a vampire won out. It was drawn by Mrs. Fabrycky so students didn't beat the teacher.

Career and Technical Education students learned about the SkillsUSA organization and direct links it provides participants to business and industry to be hired directly out of high school or college into high paying jobs. Students placing in state and national contests are often offered scholarships, too. Kansas SkillsUSA officers spoke to their personal experiences and the many benefits of being a part of this student-led organization, which is the largest in existence. Thank you to the state officers for taking time to come visit Parsons High School!

Recently members of FCCLA attended the DCCCA Youth Leadership workshop at Pitt State! Each school was provided their local community information. They used the information to evaluate issues that impact our school and/or community and came up with potential solutions. They will now take this back to our administration and see if they can put their plans into action.
