PHS Events for the week.
For the first chess tournament of the season, Parsons attended the Chanute High School tournament this past weekend.
Kyle Chen had an impressive start to his high school years!! Kyle won all 6 of his matches , was our high point medalist and earned the 1st PLACE medal!! Lucas Fugate and Raymond Oler, 12th and 13th place medalists, both came away with 4 wins out of 6 to add to our team score! Stephen Castle added 2 wins to help the team. Parsons High School ended up winning the 2nd Place team trophy with a total score of 16. There were 12 teams with 53 participants in the K-12 Division. Awesome showing and impressive TEAM effort !!!

Kadence and Manaye dropped their first match of the day to Chapman (6-8) and just won their 2nd against Topeka Hayden (8-1). Will now play for 9th place.
Congratulations to Colten Carson on taking 2nd place at SEK League Cross Country in Chanute. He earned All-League First Team honors. Great job Colten!!!
Viking Football loses to a very good Atchison team 0-48. Play regular season finale next week at Columbus.
Heidi and Laila drop their match (4-8) against Topeka-Hayden. Thank you for a great season.

Kadence and Manaye dropped their quarterfinals match to Topeka Hayden (1-6,4-6). They will play their next match tomorrow.
Heidi and Laila dropped a tough second match to Wellington (6-3,5-7,10-12 Tiebreaker).
Kadence and Manaye win a thriller over Chanute (6-4,5-7, 10-9(Tiebreaker). Advance to the top 12.
Senior Night for Fall Athletics/Activities will take place tonight at 5:45 pm. Kickoff vs. Atchison will follow at 6:00.
