
Tomorrow is Late Start Wednesday for all USD 503 schools.


On Saturday, March 12th, the Parsons Chess team attended The State Chess Tournament in Emporia. In the K-12 division, Parsons High School was represented with 5 members. There were 122 participants in the K-12 division with 21 teams represented. Parsons High School placed 9th overall Classes with 13.5 points. In the 4A class, PHS won the 2nd place plaque! Lucas Fugate led the PHS team with 4 wins and won the 26th place medal individually. William Durflinger earned the 36th place medal with his 4 wins. Davis Clark earned the 48th place medal with 3 wins. Timmy Chen, 2.5 wins and A.J Jenkins , 1.5 wins completed the rest of the team. Nice job guys, you had a great season!!
We had a fun season and enjoyed winning many trophies and medals. Hopefully we will be able celebrate our season soon with a banquet to recognize all the kids and their accomplishments throughout the year. Thanks to PMS , PHS and the District for all their support!!





Over the break, Jett Burgess and Paxton Swanson applied their Carpentry skills to replace a deck in Oklahoma. Well done, gentlemen! Hard work, pays off!




PHS Honor Flight Biscuits & Gravy is at The Elks this morning from 7-10. Come downtown and support a great cause and have some delicious breakfast!

Environmental Club collects cans to donate to PALS for recycling.



Journalism students are learning about the SPJ Code of Ethics. They presented information about ex journalists that fabricated stories. These kids work so hard!



Congratulation to coach Tyler Beardmore for being selected the 2021 girls tennis coach of the year! The league coaches voted on the award last fall, the award just arrived in the mail today. Good job Coach Beardmore and all of the Viking Tennis Team!

Spring Break is from March 14th - 18th.


Damaging winds and large hail are two other weapons in a storm's arsenal. Hail can exceed softball size and straight-line winds can down trees & destroy property. They often garner less respect than tornadoes, but are just as deadly.

PHS CTE students are preparing for the SkillsUSA State Competition. We have students competing in Graphics, Automotive, Drafting, Welding, Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, and Masonry. Go Vikings!
